Etsy Made Local 2015

Wow, what a ride! We would love to firstly say a very big thank you to everyone who joined us for Etsy Made Local around the country this year!

All over Australia on November 28, over 400 Australian Etsy sellers took part in Etsy Made Local. Hosted by passionate Etsy teams, Etsy Made Local gave shoppers a chance to buy that perfect Christmas present straight from the hands that made it, in their local city. The events combined awesome markets showcasing talented sellers from the local area, fun craft workshops and delicious food in one nifty package.

You can see some of our favourite moments below:

Not only were the markets a great chance to meet Etsy sellers in your own backyard, they also helped to raise money for the #makeforgood project! Thanks to the generosity of everyone who donated, Etsy Made Local events raised over $7,000 to go toward Plan International’s Because I Am A Girl campaign. If you couldn’t find quite what you were looking for on the day, you can shop the #makeforgood range here.

A massive thanks go to the Etsy teams that hosted these events; EtsyAdelaide, BrisStyle, Makers And Designers Australia, Australian Events, Australian Wandarrah, Melbourne Etsy Street Team, the Western Australian Street Team, Canetsy Canberra Team and SydneyMade. These amazing teams volunteered their time to showcase the work of Australian Etsy sellers, and created spectacular events! If you’d like to be a part of future events like this, be sure to join your local team (or even start your own).

Thank you so much for everyone who came along and made the day so special, we can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Adelaide Etsy made local was a fantastic day. Perfect weather and huge crowds all day long. All the stalls were selling really cool arty handmade goods. The only sad part was most of the stall holders did,nt get to say hi to each other, and browse amongst the stalls, as it was far too busy. Looking forward to next year !

Thank you for the feature! We haven't even listed most of the items we launched on the Etsy Made Local Market in Melbourne. It was an awesome experience.

It's a great movement; I took my sister to Brisbane and she left with more than a smile and a few gifts, she was inspired. Well organised event, thankyou.
