Earlier this year we called on Etsy makers and creators to get in involved in the art of upcycling and now we’re excited to announce details of where you can see the stunning results – the inaugural ReArt exhibition.

Almost 40 artists from 10 countries will be showcasing their upcycling skills and creativity as part of this Australian-first exhibition opening on Earth Day (22 April) to celebrate the launch of acclaimed sustainability book Retrash.

The exhibition includes the works of more than a dozen Etsy sellers from around Australia and the world who have created everything from stunning statement lights fashioned from plastic milk bottles to benches created from skateboards and jewellery made of found beach glass.

Each piece in the exhibition contains at least 70% second hand or waste materials and was selected by judges Nathan Devine, Etsy’s Managing Director for Australian and Asia Helen Souness and Dimity Mullane from The Lewers Gallery from more than 100 works submitted by creatives around the world.

If you’re in Sydney, check out the exhibition for yourself or join the celebration for Retrash’s official launch.
