Guess what? It’s happening. Our City to Outback road trip is all set to take place this month (kicking off on April 10) and we want you to come along on the journey.
You may remember that we announced this special seller roadtrip in January and called out for applications from Australian based Etsy makers and sellers to visit. Well, we were overwhelmed by the wonderful response from the community and after much deliberation have chosen five diverse makers to visit, spanning most Australian states and territories. We are delighted to share with you the makers are and where we’ll be finding them:
Darwin, Northern Territory – I Lopes Visual Art
Ayr, Queensland – Exquisite Gem
Hobart, Tasmania – Evie and Essie
Scotts Head, New South Wales – Margarite and Rosa
Perth, Western Australian – One Happy Leaf
As if that isn’t exciting enough, we are also partnering with five iconic Australian photographers and Instagram stars who will travel with us from coast to outback capturing the creative environments and the landscapes that shape the lives and work of these makers.
Using their distinct and striking photographic styles, each photographer will capture their journey, insights into the creative processes of the five Etsy sellers they visit, and the diverse beauty of the cities and regions they live and work in, sharing it all with their followers on Instagram through #city2outback.
Be sure to follow the journey on Instagram @etsyau and through #city2outback as Jarrad Seng, Katherine Dorrington, Melissa Findley, Tara Milk and Tea and Stephanie Somebody meet designers and makers from every corner of Etsy’s creative community throughout April and May.
Time to hit the road!
